About - Ink Of Death

Our story

Ink of Death is a Mauritius based tattoo company launched in 2022

The Idea

One sunny morning, while sun bathing at Trou aux Biches beach and contemplating the view, one question arose - is it worth it to spend on a conventional body tattoo that you can flaunt with your bikini or beach short in the few months of summer while it remains under layers of clothing during the cold winter?

Our promise to you

At Ink of Death, we believe that art can make people happy along quality products and great customer support. We mean every word when we say "Free yourself" or "Tell your story". Life is already short and with the stress and worries we have today, we make it shorter even. We will strive everyday to be with you the best way we can, but most importantly, do not hesitate to contact us for any queries or even if you just need someone to talk to or to hear you out, we're all ears. Reach us at hello@inkofdeath.com. Take care peeps!

Ingredients

OUR MAIN INGREDIENT IS GARDENIA.

Originating from Eastern Asia, Gardenia is a powerfully scented flower being cultivated for centuries now. Whether used on wounds to promote healing or to add a romantic touch to your dining table for your cosy evening, this magical flower makes its way everywhere, in our tattoos as well and is responsible for making the ink penetrate your skin for the look and feel of a conventional tattoo. Besides Gardenia, our other ingredients are: Linseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Mineral Oil, Petroleum Jelly, Propylene Glycol and Acrylates Copolymer.

HOW IT WORKS

01
CLEAN YOUR SKIN

Clean the area of your skin where you wish to put the tattoo and then let it dry. Cleaning with a wet cloth will suffice. It is very important to let the area dry completely as applying the tattoo on a damp area will result in the ink becoming smudged.

02
APPLY THE TATTOO

Apply the tattoo on your skin. Peel the back paper and place the sticky side on the desired area. Rub a wet sponge or a wet paper towel on it to transfer the ink onto your skin, then peel the sticky paper and discard.

03
DEVELOPMENT AND POST-CARE

Immediately after application the tattoo will be a light colour and it is best if you do not sweat, shower or swim in the next 3 hours after application. After the 3 hours, you can shower normally but do not rub or exfoliate the area as this will make the tattoo fade away in a much lesser time. To make it last longer, moisturise the tattoo area with body lotion or any other moisturiser from time to time. Over 24 - 48 hours it will develop to a dark blue or black colour depending on your skin tone and you can enjoy for the next 2 weeks at most.
